Dairy Futures – get the basics

Futures might sound complicated instruments to some of you, but hopefully not for long.

For the past weeks we have been running an educational programme about Dairy Futures in the Farmers Weekly and Dairy Exporter. While these two are vital agri-business publications, we do realise that not all of you are getting them, and we don’t want you miss out on the chance to find our more about Dairy Futures.

We are happy to share information about futures with you on our blog, which is also a great platform to get some feedback from you about our futures “lessons”.

You can see here the material from first three weeks of our programme, and we will update you at least every fortnight with a new one.

Global dairy market in a nutshell

The Dairy Trader


As we are getting closer to the launch of NZX Global Dairy Futures, we are launching today a brand new report “The Dairy Trader”, which has data and commentary on global dairy markets in a nutshell. It will be published at least three times a week and you can get a free copy of it by sending us an e-mail with your details.

“The Dairy Trader” is an information resource for anyone who has interest in trading dairy futures on NZX’s Global Dairy Futures market. It has data and commentary on global dairy markets with a focus on the New Zealand dairy industry.

It also has a summary of the latest globalDairyTrade auction, news from the dairy sector and links to other useful NZX websites.

Published:

The Dairy Trader will be published at least three times a week, and usually on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9am (NZ Daylight Time).

How to get it:

The Dairy Trader is published as a PDF which will be emailed to subscribers. To subscribe, simply email contact details to dairytrader@nzx.com. In the near future, the report will be available also online with historic editions.

Other reports:

NZX Agrifax already produces weekly and monthly dairy reports which monitor and provide commentary on dairy commodities markets and trade, global milk production and New Zealand milk producer payouts.
